Carrie Strom

Carrie Strom is President and Global Chief Executive Officer of Hugel. In the Botulinum Index graph, she is also an important historical Allergan Aesthetics leader because AbbVie named her to lead the dedicated Global Allergan Aesthetics business when it announced the post-acquisition leadership structure in 2020.

Her career links two major aesthetic-toxin contexts: Botox Cosmetic inside AbbVie / Allergan and Letybo inside Hugel’s Korea-origin global expansion.

  • AbbVie announced Strom as the leader of the newly created Global Allergan Aesthetics business in January 2020, effective after the Allergan acquisition closed.
  • The 2020 AbbVie announcement placed Botox Cosmetic, the Juvederm collection of dermal fillers, CoolSculpting, and other aesthetic products inside the new dedicated Allergan Aesthetics business.
  • Hugel announced in October 2025 that Strom had been appointed President and Global Chief Executive Officer, with the new global CEO role starting on October 13, 2025.
  • Hugel’s announcement described Strom as a 25-year pharmaceutical and aesthetics industry leader and former Global President of Allergan Aesthetics.
  • Her move to Hugel connects experience with an established global aesthetics portfolio to a company expanding Letybo across major botulinum toxin markets.

Strom’s Allergan Aesthetics role is most useful as a historical marker for AbbVie’s 2020 creation of a dedicated aesthetics business after the Allergan transaction. Her later Hugel appointment makes her a bridge between the AbbVie / Allergan toxin franchise and Korean manufacturer expansion into global medical aesthetics.
